3G Features on Cellphones - A Notable issue

                      3G Stands for 3rd-generation. 3G is loosely defined, but generally includes high data speeds, always-on data access, and greater voice capacity. The high data speeds are possibly the most prominent feature, and certainly the most hyped. They enable such advanced features as live, streaming video. There are several different 3G technology standards. The most prevalent is UMTS, which is based on WCDMA. (WCDMA and UMTS are often used interchangeably.) UMTS is the 3G technology of choice for most GSM carriers. The other major standard is cdma2000, which is an evolution of CDMA 2G technology. There are several types of cdma2000, each offering different data rates and levels of compatibility with 2G CDMA.

So we can do hi speed browsing on the go but one downside to all of this is that battery life is comparatively shorter for most phones on 3G networks.

Dhanush's Kolaveri Di is creating a buzz all the way through

           Tamil star Dhanush's  tamil song " Why This Kolaveri di " has evidently won the hearts of many within a short span of time. 

           This song has received over 17 million hits on you tube till now and it is expected from it to fly even more  .

            I  downloaded the song and heard it several times and i just cant stop admiring the song. It is just favulous.......
           

             According to a new survey, 'Kolaveri Di', which has taken the nation by storm, has become the top downloaded track on mobile with a score of 2,10,000 music downloads within 18 days of launch.

The song has beaten all previous record holders like 'Munni Badnaam Hui' and 'Tere Mast Mast Do Nain'. 

            
             Kolaveri has just won the YouTube Gold award, which is presented to viral videos from across the world. Beams Anirudh (the composer), "It is true. The record label has received official intimation. I don't know if they will have a function to present the award but yes, Kolaveri has been chosen for the award." 

Sonu Nigam's son, Neevan Nigam has also made his debut with this song singing the kids version of it and reportedly hindi film actor Abhishek Bachchan also is going to sing this song in his own voice.


              Abhishek Bachchan feels that it is unfair that people associate Tamil star Dhanush, who has an impressive body of work, just with the Kolaveri di song.

"He is a very dear friend of mine, Dhanush. Very famous and very prominent actor from Chennai. Off late, unfortunately they only seem to know him because of Why This Kolavari Dibut, he has done great work down there. He is a wonderful actor," said the 35-year-old actor.

And that's not all. 

An article on the song, the lyrics of which have been penned by Dhanush, has also been featured in this edition of the Time magazine.
